INDONESIAN IMPORT REGULATION
IMPLEMENTATION OF ISPM#15 BY MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
With effect from 1st September 2009, all importations into Indonesia are subject to compliance with The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia regulation no 12/Permanent/OT.140/2/2009 for the Requirements and Mechanism of Quarantine Acts for Importation using Wood Packing Materials.
Hence, kindly ensure all your shipments to Indonesia, which include Batam, using wood packing materials and wooden pallets to comply with ISPM#15 and Fumigation Certificate to accompany shipping documents. Non-compliance shall result in packing materials and wooden pallets to be destroyed by the authority at consignees’ cost and which may result in delayed delivery. Shippers/Consignees shall bear the cost arising from delayed clearance due to this matter.
You may liaise with your Indonesia consignees for further clarifications. We strongly recommend that you do not effect any shipment without compliance to avoid inconveniences.
Thank you for your attention and co-operations.
